Figure skating is one of the most popular sports in the world today. In Australia more than one and a half million people lace up skates every year. The inclusive programs Ice Skating Australia offer, encourage people to become involved and stay involved for life

 

Skaters progress at their own rate and coaches make sessions lively using a wide variety of activities that create a fun environment and promote learning. Aussie SkateTM is the feeder program to all other Australian skating programs, from club competition to National  championships and along the Olympic pathway. Aussie SkateTM is also the feeder program in to Ice Hockey and Speed Skating .

Top 10 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games (WYOG)

Congratulations to Chantelle Kerry on her top 10 finish and achieving a PB Total Score (108.99 points) at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games held in Innsbruck, Austria.  AOC stories and photos can be found here:

2011 Australian Figure Skating Championships

JGP Brisbane

Australia held its first ever ISU Junior Grand Prix figure skating event in Brisbane, 7-10 September 2011.

Six of Australia's top junior athletes competed including three skaters making their debut international appearance.  Brooklee Han achieved a top 10 result, placing 8th. Results can be found here.
