Brendan Kerry, Kailani Craine, Harley Windsor and Ekaterina Alexandrovska left us all proud of their brave efforts in PyeongChang in February 2018. They sustained enough energy to tackle further travel to Milan, Italy for the 2018 World Figure Skating Championships which took place a mere 5 weeks after the Olympics. Feeling fit and with clear targets in place, the Aussies all took the chance to move up the rankings at the Worlds 2018.
Pair skaters Katia Alexandrovskaya and Harley Windsor, who have had a stellar year were disappointed not to have made the free program in PyeongChang after a strong, clean, short program placing 18th. For their Olympic debut, it was unfortunate on this occasion but technically they have all the makings to move on upward. Their focus at this time is on performance skills and each new outing clearly shows that development.
Brendan Kerry's performance in the Short Program was captivating with a new found confidence since Sochi. He placed 20th overall. A few nerves caught him at the beginning of the Free Skate but he proceeded to stun with two fabulous triple axels. His big focus now is on components to match his amazing jumping ability.
With two clean skates, a very satisfied Kailani Craine placed 17th overall in her Olympic debut. She achieved a personal best in the Free Skate after sailing through the short with her highly entertaining artistic performance. All the excitement of the games opening event had settled and she skated two great clean programs, her signature spins in tow.
Needless to say, our athletes have their eye on 2022 in Beijing!
Sochi 2014

Australia's Olympic Figure Skaters performed wonderfully in Sochi and the community at home couldn't have been more proud of their achievements.
Australia had its largest figure skating team at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in 15 years with representatives in three out of four figure skating disciplines.
This event was especially successful for the ice dancers, Dani and Greg, qualifying for the finals in great style with excellent unison and stunning twizzles while skating to music from the Cotton Club.
Their performance was made all the more significant as they were the first Ice Dancers to qualify for the Winter Olympic team since 1988.
Dani and Greg, along with our Senior Lady, Brooklee Han, both enjoyed 20th places overall!
Brooklee Han did well to climb a few places after her short program, and didn't fail to impress with stunning Level 4 spins.
Although not his best skate on the day, Brendan Kerry took much away from the experience, and there are great hopes to see him back in 2018.
Congratulations to them all!
